What to Expect…
Jury trials have resumed, however, you will NOT be reporting to the courthouse in-person on your first day of jury service. Jurors are to call our Jury Message Phone Line at 505-841-8158 each day between the hours of 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. through the end of their term. Please have the group/sequence number that is listed on your summons with you when you call.
In the event that a panel of jurors is selected and instructed to report to the courthouse, your report time will be no later than 11:00 a.m.
Your jury service is important, and we want to assure you that the court is continuing to adhere to COVID-19 Safe Practices.
If you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 such as; a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 5 days, OR have been in contact with someone with the virus, or traveled outside of the United States within the past 7 days, please call the court’s Jury Division at 505-841-8141.
A week before your jury term, you will receive an e-notification from the Jury Division providing you with current juror reporting information.
If you need to provide the court with an email address/text number, or if you did not receive the court’s communication in this timeframe or have any other questions, please call 505-841-8141.
If instructed to report in-person, jurors may NOT bring into the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Courthouse: electronics (except as allowed below), cameras, glass containers, or weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, guns, knives, pepper spray, metal nail files, razor blades, or metal eating utensils. Jurors MAY bring cell phones, computers, and tablets; provided, however, that Jurors may NOT use those devices to take photos or record while in the Courthouse. Jurors are permitted to bring in food or drink as long as it is not a glass container.
