COVID-19 Information & Updates

I'm a juror:

Your jury service is important, and we want to assure you that the court is making every effort to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as; a fever, cough or shortness of breath, or have recently been diagnosed with or in contact with someone with the virus, or traveled outside of the state of New Mexico or outside the United States within the past 14 days, please call the court’s Jury Division at 505-841-8141, as soon as you are aware of your symptoms, but no later than 8:30 a.m. on the first day of your term to discuss options.

Due to precautionary measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the courts experienced a temporary pause on jury trials.  Although public health concerns remain, the Metropolitan Court continues to take protective measures against the spread of the virus and will resume jury trials on Monday, July 6, 2020.

The Court will continue to contact you via your email address and/or phone.  If you need to provide the court with updated contact information, please be sure to do this as quickly as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: You will not be reporting in-person to the courthouse on your first day of jury duty as originally instructed on your summons. Instead, we are asking that all jurors call our “Code-A-Phone” system at 505-841-8158 each day between the hours of 9:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. throughout the end of your term.  In the event that a panel of jurors is selected and instructed to report to the courthouse, your report time will be 11:15 a.m.

Listen to the message carefully…it will provide you with specific daily reporting instructions. You will need to know your group number when listening to this message, in the event that jurors are required to report. The message will be clear and concise.

If you do not understand this email or the recorded message on the Code-a-Phone, please call our direct line at 505-841-8141 and the jury staff will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your jury service.
