COVID-19 Information & Updates

I need to serve a Notice of Appeal on the court monitor

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Court realizes that it may present a challenge for the parties to serve the Metropolitan Court's court monitor in appeals of record cases to the Court of Appeals. Therefore, the Metropolitan Court created an email group (metrappeals-grp@nmcourts.gov) that facilitates service of a copy of the Notice of Appeal only to the "court monitor or court reporter." However, this email group does not replace the process of filing the Notice of Appeal or any other pleadings with the Metropolitan Court.  So please continue to file pleadings with a copy for the Judge as you would normally file pleadings.  This email group also does replace the requirement for personal service of process of any other pleading or document.
