The Compliance and Close-out Division Manager oversees Metropolitan Court’s Driving While Impaired, Aggressive Driving and Driver Improvement Schools and oversees all aspects of the community service programs. He also manages the court's File Close-out Division.

The Division Manager oversees all aspects of Metropolitan Court’s Driving Safety Schools. He maintains instructor contracts, develops class schedules, evaluates curriculum and works in partnership with the New Mexico Traffic Safety Division to uphold uniform standards for the operation of the court's driving safety schools. The Division Manager collaborates with other agencies that provide additional supplemental educational programing to defendants.  

The Division Manager supervises and evaluates approximately 156 statewide non-profit agencies that provide placement for defendants to perform court-ordered community service. Approximately 25% of these agencies are located in Albuquerque, and the remaining 75% are located in the various counties throughout the State of New Mexico. He ensures that agencies and defendants comply with the established policies and procedures as they interact with Metropolitan Court’s Customer Service, Probation Office and Tracking Desk.

In addition, the Division Manager supervises and evaluates the work of 12 Close-out Division staff members, including (11) Judicial Specialists and (1) Judicial Lead-Worker. The Close-out Division adheres to the court’s record management program which follows the New Mexico Public Records Act.  The Close-out Division is tasked with reviewing the lifecycle of a record to determine if it must be permanently stored or if it’s eligible for destruction.
