For a seventh consecutive year, the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court has received an unmodified opinion for its external financial audit that resulted with no findings.  The annual audit, conducted by Moss-Adams LLP, extensively reviewed financial transactions, budget, purchasing compliance, travel, bond processing, grant awards, information technology policies, fixed assets, reconciliations, statutory compliance, internal controls, and payroll processing. Moss-Adams LLP conducted two weeks of on-site testing along with continuous communication in the interim.  The Finance Division was pleased to achieve completion of the audit two weeks before the statutory deadline.

Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court Chief Judge Henry A. Alaniz made the announcement, praising the court's multiple divisions that continue to maintain a high standard in their daily work.  The audit is led by the Finance Division with assistance from Customer Service, Civil Division, Information Technology, Office of the General Counsel, Background Investigations, and Human Resources.

"This is an extraordinary accomplishment for our Court, especially for an organization our size," said Chief Judge Alaniz.
