For an NINTH consecutive year, the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court has received an unmodified opinion for its external financial audit that resulted with no findings.  The annual audit, conducted by Ricci & Company LLC, extensively reviewed financial transactions, budget, purchasing compliance, travel, bond processing, grant awards, fixed assets, reconciliations, statutory compliance, internal controls, and payroll processing.  This year's audit includes a restatement for the addition of the revenue bond debt with the New Mexico Finance Authority and the related debt service fund.  Ricci & Company, LLC conducted two weeks of on-site testing along with continuous communication in the interim.  Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court Chief Judge Edward L. Benavidez made the announcement, praising staff’s continued efforts to maintain a high standard in their daily work.  The audit is led by the Finance Division with assistance from Purchasing, Customer Service, Civil Division, Office of the General Counsel, Background Investigations, and Human Resources.  "This is an extraordinary accomplishment for our court, especially for an organization our size," said Chief Judge Benavidez.  For a link to the audit, please click here.
