Fees, Costs & Filing - Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court

Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court has made it convenient for you to pay your fines and fees.

If you are unable to pay the fines and fees, you will have the option of completing community service at a one of the two weed and litter agencies or one of the other court-approved non-profit agencies. It is your responsibility to ensure the fines and fees are paid by the due date. There will be NO PAYMENT EXTENSIONS. If fines and fees are not paid or community service hours are not completed by the due date, a warrant for your arrest may be issued.

You must take a copy of your Judgement & Sentence, Addendum and I.D. with you to the agency!

View the list of the court-approved, in-town agencies, and view the list for out-of-town, non-profit agencies and their specific requirements. You must call and schedule your service hours directly with each agency. You must complete the community service hours before the due date listed. How do I register for community service?

If you choose to complete your community service at one of the weed and litter programs, you do not need to call and make an appointment. Albuquerque City Parks Management works 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. Albuquerque Public Schools works only on Saturdays, starting at 7 a.m. View the maps in English and Spanish for these locations. If you choose to work at a court-approved non-profit agency, you must contact the agency and make arrangements to work. Civil Filing Fees

Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court is a court of limited jurisdiction in which the amount in dispute cannot be more than $10,000.

The suit can be filed in Customer Service on the first floor of the courthouse. A $77 filing fee is required.

Records Requests Fees

Charges for Copies of Court Records:

$0.50 per page for a photocopy of a Court Record.
$1.00 per page for photocopies of Court Records that are scanned and electronically transferred.
For certified copies of a Court Record, an additional $0.50 per page is charged.
$5.00 per CD (for a copy of a court hearing)

If you plead guilty or are found guilty, the amount of Fines that you will have to pay depends on the type of law that you have violated.
